Descripción y tareas: El Académico Residente en Humanidades Digitales se integrará a los trabajos del Colectivo para el Estudio del Caribe Digital efectivo del 1 de julio de 2022 al 30 de junio 2023. El Colectivo es una iniciativa integrada por especialistas caribeños en las humanidades digitales de Barnard College, Yale University, Miami University, Create Caribbean y la Universidad de Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras y es auspiciado por la Fundación Andrew W. Mellon. En la Universidad de Puerto Rico-Recinto de Rio Piedras los trabajos integran recursos de la Facultad de Estudios Generales, la Facultad de Humanidades y al Centro de Investigación Interdisciplinaria y Aprendizaje Subgraduado (CRiiAS). El Académico Residente en Humanidades Digitales se insertará en estos esfuerzos para desarrollar, apoyar y promover investigaciones en las humanidades digitales en el recinto de Rio Piedras para desarrollar modelos teóricos y metodológicos, así como estructuras académicas, conceptuales y técnicas desde y para la región del Caribe y sus diásporas. La posición del Académico Residente en Humanidades Digitales está subvencionada por The Mellon Foundation por lo cual, el pago de su salario, así como los beneficios marginales provienen de los fondos otorgados a esta propuesta.

Job description and responsibilities: The Digital Humanities Fellow will be integrated into the work of the Caribbean Digital Scholarship Collective (CDSC) from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. The Collective is an initiative of Caribbean digital humanities scholars from Barnard College, Yale University, Miami University, Create Caribbean and the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras and is sponsored by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. At the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras Campus, the CDSC integrates resources from the College of General Studies, the College of Humanities, and the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Undergraduate Learning (CRiiAS). The Digital Humanities Fellow will be part of these efforts by developing, supporting and promoting research in digital humanities at the Rio Piedras campus. The DH Fellow will also develop theoretical and methodological models, as well as academic, conceptual and technical structures based on the experiences and practices articulated in the Caribbean region. and their diasporas. The Digital Humanities Fellow is subsidized by The Mellon Foundation, therefore, the funding for salary as well as the fringe benefits come from the grant.
