In fall 2013, Leah Rosenberg will be offering a graduate course in the Digital Humanities and the course is “Panama Silver, Asian Gold : Migration, Money, and the Making of the Modern Caribbean.” The course is a Digital Humanities and Caribbean Studies courses, and it’s been (and being) designed such that graduate students in Digital Humanities and/or Caribbean Studies will have a great experience and learn a lot from the course. The course is experimental and, because it’s great to do big experiments, will be taught at Amherst College and the University of Miami as well, with all 3 of the courses being connected for the benefit of learning and Digital Humanities course project possibilities.
The current UF course syllabus is here: http://ufdc.ufl.edu/AA00013935/00001/pdf
I’m very excited about this course and hope many folks register (there are still spaces available) so that the course can be as fun and productive as possible. I will be assisting/attending all of the course sessions, so I’m very, very excited to be involved and to see the projects/products from this course and that continue to develop with and after the course.
