WHAT: Open House and Intro for Students Interested in Creating Mobile Apps

PLACE: Rm. 100 Marston Science Library
Learn how to get started in mobile app development by attending an Open House at the new MADE@UF (Mobile App Development Environment at University of Florida) space located in room 100 of Marston Science Library. The event will start at 3:30 pm on Thursday October 30th.
First up will be John Shea, Associate Professor in Electrical and Computing Engineering, who is developing online training for MADE@UF: “I will give a brief overview of the online course Mobile Application Development with Web Technologies. I will discuss the target audience for the course, along with prerequisite knowledge needed to be successful in the course. Finally, I will discuss features of the MADE@UF lab that will enable students to get started quickly on the course’s activities.”
Next will be two of the founding members of Kinwa, Inc., a mobile design and development studio founded by four UF alums. The Gainesville based company works with local and national clients, including the University of Florida, various startups, and enterprise clients, helping to bring the best technologies directly to your pocket.
