I’m looking forward to a number of travels this year, and I’m hoping to see lots of great friends and colleagues, and to meeting new folks with these trips. My upcoming travels for the fall are:
- October 1, New York City
- Attending the NFAIS – Humanities Roundtable
- November 11-15, Puerto Rico
- Presenting a workshop on the Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) at THATCamp Caribe at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico and with a visit to UPR, San Juan
- December 9-16, Havana, Cuba
- Presenting a paper on dLOC and attending the INKE Havana Gathering 2012 “Research Foundations for Understanding Books and Reading in the Digital Age: E/Merging Reading, Writing, and Research Practices” held at the Hotel Parque Central in Havana, Cuba
My travels for spring 2013 are still being determined, but will certainly include the MLA and ACRL conferences:
- January 4-6, Boston
- Modern Language Association Convention, serving as a member of the Delegate Assembly and attending meetings and presentations
- April 10-13, Indianapolis
- Presenting a paper at the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) Conference
