How to Write a Book Proposal Workshop
Monday, 6 February 2017, 11:00-12:30 pm, Library West 212 (Scott Nygren Scholars Studio)
Please join the George A. Smathers Library, the Center for the Humanities and Public Sphere and the University Press for the “How to Write a Book Proposal” Workshop. Meredith Morris-Babb, Director of the University Press of Florida, is the featured speaker, and she will provide tips on selecting a press for your manuscript/dissertation, meeting editors and the process of turning a manuscript into a book. Participants will have the opportunity to review a University Press of Florida book proposal form and ask the Director of the Press questions about next steps once the proposal has been accepted or rejected. Refreshments will be served. The format of the workshop is flexible, so please feel free to come and go as your schedule permits. For questions concerning the event, please email Laurie Taylor (laurien@ufl.edu)
