Greetings to all Information Professionals, Exhibitors and Friends,
As we celebrate the global event of Open Access Week from October 23 – 29, 2017, I bring warm greetings to you as President of the Association of Caribbean University, Research and Institutional Libraries (ACURIL).
I am very happy to invite all ACURILEANS, Information Professionals, Exhibitors and Friends to participate in the 48th Annual ACURIL Conference to be held in the Dominican Republic from June 3-7, 2018. The theme of the conference is entitled Open Access in Caribbean Libraries, Archives and Museums: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Directions.
It revolves around four sub-themes:
1. The Global and Caribbean Context
2. Policy, Strategy and Advocacy
3. Professional Development and User Education
4. Innovation and Trends
I invite you to respond positively to the Call for Papers and submit your proposals for paper presentations, workshops and poster sessions as we explore the many facets of Open Access and its impact on Libraries, Archives and Museums. Your contribution will add value in advancing the knowledge of Open Access in the ACURIL community.
Our colleagues in the Dominican Republic are actively involved in planning and organizing to host a successful conference, therefore I look forward to your support and participation in the 2018 ACURIL conference.
