FemTechNet Distributed Open Collaborative Conference (FTN DOCC) coordinators invite proposals for panel presentations and to facilitate workshops at FTN DOCC’s Feminist Pedagogy, Technology, Transdisciplinarity conference, April 8-10, 2016 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
FRIDAY PANELS: Panels may be proposed as individual 15-minute presentations or grouped/developed with others for one- hour sessions. Select DOCC themes for panel presentations: Affect, Archives, Body, Creativity, Difference, Ecologies, Embody, G-STEAM, Inclusion, Machine, Mapping, Metaphor, Place, Race, Subjectivity, Systems, Technology, Trans
SATURDAY WORKSHOPS: Select one of the four workshops you would like to facilitate a 30-minute activity as part of 1.5 hour sessions on wikistorming, feminist mapping, exquisite engendering, and feminist hacker/maker space. Participants may stay with the same workshop thread in one of the four areas (wikistorming, feminist mapping, exquisite engendering, or feminist hacker/maker space) throughout the day (for four 1.5-hour sessions) or participate in all four areas. The unstructured design of the workshops makes it possible to attend 1.5 hours of each area, or 6 hours with one, or two or three workshop areas. There will be different facilitators each 1.5 hour in four sessions, two of which will be in the morning and two in the afternoon.
SUNDAY DIALOGUE:Attend the filming of a video dialogue as an audience participant. We are also seeking proposals for circle facilitation of FTN DOCC dialogue about the themes of the conference.
