UF DHLG Developing Librarian Project Training Series, Kick-off on August 12 with Alex Gil!

Alex Gil, PhD, Columbia University’s Digital Scholarship Coordinator and Affiliate Faculty in English, is visiting UF on Tuesday August 12 as an invited speaker for the Digital Humanities Library Group’s Developing Librarian Pilot Training Project.   Alex is an internationally recognized expert in the Digital Humanities and in “Developing Librarian” or digital humanities re-skilling programs for librarians to meet increased demands.
UF’s Developing Librarian Project is modeled after Columbia’s and was developed in consultation with Alex.  Alex is the kick-off speaker for the year-long DHLG training program and activities. 1:30-3:30p: Presentation/Training on GitHub and Neatline (LOCATION: Library West 212) Please remember to register in ITS!
This is a presentation/training on GitHub and Neatline as two digital humanities tools, by Alex Gil. Attendees are recommended to bring laptops where they can install software, if available, and to attend for the presentation without laptops.
