UF Event: GIS Day on November 20

GIS DAY is next Wednesday, 11/20! 
On Wednesday November 20th the University of Florida George A. Smathers Libraries and the rest of the UF community will be celebrating GIS Day!  There will be a speakers series, poster contest, GIS information booths, giveaways and, finally, cake for everyone at 12:45 pm.
**Faculty, staff, and graduate students** Please consider submitting your poster for the Poster Contest!  The winner will receive $50 and a $50 gift certificate to the ASPRS bookstore, both donated by the Florida Chapter of ASPRS (American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing), along with a gator trophy. Poster submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, November 19.
**Instructors** Give students extra credit for attending a GIS Day presentation or activity!  Someone will be on hand to stamp papers for those that attend.
