UF: Data Management Brown Bag on ICPSR and Data Reference

This is more library-focused on reference support and services for data/digital materials, but it’s also relevant for digital humanities and other areas in terms of how digital resources are made findable, found, and used.

David Schwieder, Political Science Librarian in UF’s Library West, will discuss the 2012 ICPSR Summer Program Workshop, Providing Social Science Data Services: Strategies for Design and Operation. Dave will share and lead a discussion on the ICPSR workshop, which presented an overview of the data cycle in academic library settings, focusing on data collection, data user services, data access, and data preservation.
